I just started using this yesterday, and I like it =] Currently I usually stock up on frag ammunition...I just engage into battle, fire a single grenade and instantly switch to regular fire. Regular fire on Punisher is pretty damn strong. Very good strategy so far that I've used. Anyone wanna share theirs? =o

Always use plasma, frags are useless, as are the rocklets. The punisher is great for 1v1s and general purpose work, but empire rifles are better in big zergs. Its especially useful when there are alot of cloakers about, or if your driving/gunning a vehicle since you can use it to clear small minefields or breach thin ones. Its also useful on tower jumps and when they know they are going to run into vehicles, since you can jam up there guns with it.

It would be alot more usefull if they had a bounce around option with it. I never use it, it doesn't do enough damage (last i heard the damage per shot was the same as the cycelr but just slower)

Anyone else suddenly have a distaste for pork?
I used the punisher on my support guy. I made it my only weapon and got him all the way up to BR18. All of his kills came from either the punisher or CE. I think it makes for a real cool "Medics" firearm. The Plasma shot first then regular fire works really well. Only if you are attacking and there isn't more then two guys. If you can get the jump on the enemy they are as good as dead. But only if the nade hits and you get a round or two in them. If not you will die quickly. |

I use it as my backup weapon for my sniper rifle, mainly because I wanted a medium distance weapon and I hate the guass. I do like the under barrel rocket launcher. I normally stock one box of each type of ordinance, as they all have some moderate use. The jammer grenades are especially helpfull. Many time, the enemy will CE the top of their towers so that hotdropping troops will get chewed up before making it to the doors, but all you have to do is press your punisher button while falling and chunk a couple jammers down and its all safe.
Not my favorite gun, and I will normally ditch it for the first cycler/pulsar I see, but like I said, I hate the guass.

Best part about the punisher is the sweet reload sound you get when you reload the nade/rocket barrel. As for strategy I dunno...shoot whatever moves and hope you hit cause that CoF is brutal and unforgiving and fire as many nades as possible to get that satisfing reload sound.

Going with AV...but don't think it matters so much. I mean you shoot and they blow up and do damage to what ever they hit. Probably better for AV as they have a level line of fire but if you shoved one down Pork's throat I'm positive his head would still blow clean off.

I use the punisher as a backup sniper weapon as well. I always leave it with plasma nades loaded and selected, with an extra box of plasma and one of jammers. As for a strat: in close range I fire off a plasma nade first, then switch to regular, get close, and go full auto. For mid range, I pop off one shot at a time to let the COF fall back to a reasonable level, or if I have plenty of plasma nades I pop them off until the enemy either gets close or dies.

Hey now hey now, what in the hell is wrong with frags? Yeah, in HUGE zergs when defending a base and they're running down the stairwells by the fucking thousands, 'course you'll load up with plasma. I'm talking about smaller battles where you'll usually find single enemies outside. Shoot a frag, that's fifty health down instantly (on agile at least). Finish them off with reg fire. You go "weeeee!"
