Firstly, there isn't a single box, each server is actually a server cluster.

Emerald is the original Beta server cluster.

The test server is a just an additional server cluster, supposedly with the same specs as all of the other servers. Well, at least the same as Emerald and Markov. I dunno wth is up with the werner server...military surplus maybe?

There is a newer beta server which ran core combat, but that may have become the actual core combat cluster.

But anyways, there really is no difference between the test server and the live servers. Just differences in the version of code you are running.

Misc Info

pfft, you're all wrong.

having servers named "test" "east" "west" and "europe" is just a gimmick to make you feel better, there's actually only one PII machine in SOE's broom closet running all three concurrent servers on windows 95.
