Yet again TR are getting screwed


Well from what is happening to the TR with the upcoming changes. I think I'm dropping my char with Uni-MAX. Ok here it comes get ready.

Now i understand that the comet has the shortest clip size, but thr differences are, IMO too great. An anchored pounder doesn't even do better than a comet!

DC 6.66 shots per second, 9/s anchored - kill agile 12 shots rex 20 shots (TTKs 1.8s 3s normal 1.33s 2.22s anchored)
Quasar 6.66 shots per second agile - 10 shots rex 15 shots (TTK 1.5s 2.25s)
scattermax 2/s 1.33/s 1/s each mode - agile 2 shots rex 3 shots (TTK 1s 1.5s wide 2.66s 4s average (tight untested - probably takes more shots but the shots required are the same between wide and average)

The scattermax comes on top but it's wildly innacurate beyond short range. The DC max is the slowest of the 3, but is *somewhat* better than the quasar max when anchored.

Now i thought anchoring was supposed to give double RPM. it seems it's only a 50% figure, and if we don't anchor, we're inferior to other faction maxes!

I ask for fairness - increase damage on TR maxes so they are balanced with other maxes WHEN UNANCHORED.

Beside that, the pounder is verry innacurate, but i actually don't mind that too much if the projectile speed stays that high. If it comes down, i want more accuracy
As far as I can tell the New AI DC is about 20%slower then a quasar unlocked TTK on an Agile and 33% slower TTK on a Rexo
Then locked down it has a 12%faster TTK on an agile and 2% Faster on a Rexo. Not much of an advantage to becoming completely immobile. I didn't really compare to the ScatMax

The TR are the inferior faction!! The NC and VS were formaly TR So they know everything about the TR and their weapons, so obviosly they would make better weapons to beat the TR, duh.

This game isn't a MMORPG it's a MMOFPS the story is just put there so its not here is a gun go kill something. So therefore teams should be equal on some level. and its bullshit that TR MAXes have to be immobile to be equal or as some of you say *slightly* stronger than other faction maxes.

I've always thought it unusual that the TR MAX special ability has a big negative side-effect, and is required to bring their firepower up to the level of the other MAXs when they're completely mobile. They need to completely sacrifice movement and some degree of turning capacity just to be as good as the other MAXs.

This game is not story driven, it's player driven and I just tested the new MAXes and I'm throughly dissappointed with the Pounders new AV damage, it takes about 10 shots to kill a Basilisk and a little over a full clip to kill a lightning. Thats terrible.

You guys know that Sony is completely incompetent right?

Serously, the pounder started out as AV and the DC as AI...then they changed it as they found the pounder was more effective against infantry....now they change them back...man, what a fcken waste of time.

They changed the DC to AV because quite frankly the devs were to damned lazy to make a Decent AV MAX. So they half-assed it and switched the pounder to AI and the DC (which was a freaking horrible) to AV. Personally I would have liked them to dump the pounder all together leave the DC how it was and make a AV MAX with maybe 40mm cannons or something(So it wouldn't have the infantry killing power like the Lib's 35mm)

I've been saying that shit for months, and I'm glad somebody took the time to do all those calculations. Hopefully any llamas who have never played TR and have tried to claim anchoring was an asset will read this.

yea, they never really mentioned that the pounder was getting a RoF reduction, it needs to shoot just a bit closer to what it was changed to last B-pass, instead of 3x faster, only 2x faster, and a magazine of 50 instead of 30 and then it would be at the right wavelength

You dont need every weapon type to be equal just the same overall ability to take out the enemy considering all the weapons. doesnt it take away the uniqueness of an empire to make all of there AI or AV weapons on each side of equal power? Isnt that part of choosing an empire? Isnt it better to have one empire better at AI and another better at AA?

everything. he thinks that the DC is the AI MAX for the TR now, so he did tests thinking that it was the AI max. but its not. the MAX changes come in the next patch.
