So I logged onto Markov yesterday and came to in standard armor in a Vanu spawn room on Esamir. I hit M and see that the continent is all purple, with a couple odd generators down, so I type /recall and wait out the 30 second timer. At about 20 seconds I hear one of the spawnroom doors being hacked, and whoosh it opens. Nobody is there, I have 10 seconds until recall so I VVW, "Heya" and wave at the doorway. I figure I will likely get capped by the cloaker crouching in the doorframe since I don't want to bother restarting my recall timer by firing at him.
Well, 10 awkward seconds pass and that funky green energy beams me back to sanctuary. I load up my inventory and surge over to the HART building when I get a tell from MasterD, asking if I had seen him. It turns out he was the cloaker running around on Esamir prepping for an impending NC invasion. Apparently he thought he had the continent to himself (and if he had done a /who tr or /who vs any more than 10 or 15 seconds earlier he would have had every reason to think so). I asked him why he hadn't shot me, and he said I had scared the shit out him when I looked straight at him and waved!!!
Anyways, just thought I'd share that with you. It was one of the most amusing "WTF!?" moments I've had in Planetside recently.
