Sound system is farked

My volume goes up and down, gets realllly quiet, then I reach over and turn the dial up, then it SHOOTS WAAAAY UP and I have to turn it down.

Then it repeats.

Someone help, its farked.

Dubya tee eff is all that?

well you have an Audigy so perhaps you have the volume equalizer on and its not owrking right, DL new drivers from www.creative.com and see if it helps

Have you:
Tried the card in another machine?
Tried a different OS?
Used older versions of creatives drivers?
Used drivers that came with the OS you currently use?
Updated your system boards bios?
Updated the firmware/bios on your sound card if it has any?
Tried a clean install of your OS with planetside and drivers?
Tried different speakers?
Tried a different sound card?
Tried the built-in sound on your motherboard?

In all honesty, I would try the card in another machine, if it does it there the card is fuxored.

Try it in a nother machine, if it works we can't realy say what it is, but if it doen't it's the card.

do the same with the speakers.

and make sure Onboard audio is turned off

I had that problem once. It seems to be an issue with EAX. Try selecting different drivers in game and see if that helps. Games like Halo are unplayable for me if I have Environmental Audio enabled, the sound constantly comes in and out. I havn't tried Halo since Creative released their lastest drivers, you might look at that.

Runs fine in the other machine, using the EXACT same driversin the OS, running planetside and there is no problem?

Update your motherboards BIOS, try the card in a different PCI slot and mess with EAX settings.

Maybe its your machine, you're probably not got a p4 system, planetside runs great on a pentium 4.

You dont have a problem. Its part of the game to avenge every VS you kill. NOthing you can do about it!

Your just going to avoid killing VS.

Edit: Idea! Did you run Virus scan. Maybe somebody actually ran a virus on yoru comp that affects sound durring the game, or maybe you have virus in generall on that comp.

I just had to Quarentine four files with a trojan thing. I think it infected on the 24th of January. It was several files in a java application.
