Best Ati Drivers?

Im interested in some Omega Drivers, the 4.2 drivers from ATI have decreased my perfomance. So my question is this How do i properly uninstall my current drivers and what drivers are the best for PS? I heard the Omega 4.1s are good

My PC Specs:
AMD Athlon 2400+
Radeon 9600XT
1 GB of RAM

Just uninstall the latest drivers (try "Your Uninstaller!" I prefer that to the XP one) and reinstall the new ones. I tried the Omega 2.5.14 (4.1's) and they fubared my system to the extent that my Rad 9600 Pro wasn't recognised. I went back to the Omega 2.4.96c (3.9's) which work fine.

There is a driver clean-up utility included in the Omega download file, it works good for remove any resident garbage.
