I enjoy PlanetSide. I enjoy the gameplay, the teamwork involved, the whole feel, the music (yes, the music - mostly), the graphics, visuals, etc. What I do not enjoy about this game are the sounds that is has.
I tend to agree with most people when they say that the sounds are very, very weak - especially sounds for weaponry, like the sweeper. Shotgun? No. In my opinion the game would be much, much more enjoyable if it had sound quality and depth like in Call of Duty. Yes, I know they are different games with different scopes, so don't bother bringing that up in a reply, please. But do post comments - don't just vote in the poll. |

BTW: The game needs a makeover with sounds. I agree with this.

Yes they do, im researching the Planetside sound index for the possibility of a Planetside Sound Mod, and yes it can can work but you just have to put the new sounds after station does its scan. The weapons sound mod is very complicated having 3d and 2d sounds but, in the future I will be doing one and im thinking sounds from CoD. Doing more work capturing audio from CoD needs to be done, also a audio editor that could edit the Planetside 3d and 2d music weapon files, also people to get online in CoD to record the weapon sounds.

Wep sounds are kind of weak so, yea tweaking them wouldn't bother me a bit.

My educated guess is that producing a "Planetside Sound Mod" would violate the Terms of Service of Planetside, CoD, or quite possibly both. You go ahead and get yourself banned, though.

Keep the sounds basicaly the smae but make it so sound can help you locate people or make people feel the urge to run away fast (like AA:SF, i dread the sound of the RPK)
