Mexico let Americans into Texas to develop it. Texans demanded the right to bring slaves. They smuggled slaves in. Mexico said no. Boom! Texas declares independence. WTF? Then Texans get all patriotic when they see the Alamo. I would say no offense, but I refrain. This is your history. You may as well be saluting slavery if you say "Remember the Alamo!" http://www.republic-of-texas.net/rtdf/ They apparently have a military. Abolish this group now.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. Last edited by AztecWarrior; 2004-03-11 at 07:30 PM. |

I remember this guy that came as a guest speaker in my Spanish class. He said he represented the 'Chicano Movement'. Basically, this guy was one of the biggest radicals/racists I've ever seen in person. I dunno', this thread just reminded me of him.
ghost PS: Aztec, there was more to it, even my Liberal-ass, piece of shit History book told us more than that.... |

the alamo wasnt for slavery, it was for freedom, because the santa ana was being domineering, in fact most of the texas settlers were granted cheap land, and couldnt even afford nor wanted slaves. But this site is the most embarassing thing to texans ever, the fact is that texas ASKED to join the US, they werent conquered like this group tries to lead you to believe. They claim the US is a "Military Occupation" that is total bullshit.

aztec, i belive it was something like less than 5 percent of texans had slaves, and santa anna was being a real bitch, see, texas didnt care to leave mexico rule, just like america, we wanted to govern ourselves, be a state, and have less taxes, but as i said, santa anna was a bitch. so we fought.
and the Alamo was a great battle, i hate to copy a newspaper over a hundred years old, but Thermopylae now has a equivlent, where a small number of men fought against a numericaly superior enemy, held them off, long enough for their forces to gather to pose a threat to the enemy.
