Reverb

Does anyone know how to kill the Reverb on your sound in WinXP? I had Chrome lock up on me the other night and aside from chainge the ingame res to 800x600 (easily fixed) my reverb somehow got cranked. Everything sounds like I'm playing in a sewer pipe >_<

It generally comes from what type of sound card you have, do you have the newest drivers for it?

Creative for example allows you to change the re-verb in thier options under the Audio HQ.

It sounds like it messed up your EAX settings. Most sound card makers offer some kind of software (driver or other program) to adjust those settings. If you can't find a program to do that for your card, you might want to try launching the program that caused the problem and setting it to use something other than EAX sound (software DirectSound or Miles Fast 2D positional audio for example).
