Can the HART drop down inside a SOI that your empire controls? I saw a pic of a HART over a base so I assume it is so, but that would suck ass for the offensive team.
Also, I wonder if they ever thought about adding a parachutish feature, maybe leg/torso mounted personal retro-rockets to slow someone as they fell towards a base roof. The best way to clear a building is from the top floor down, cuz staircases are KILLZONES. Also, AA cannons could shoot them down so it would be risky, but would make up for the defensive team being able to HART in (if they can). It would look damn cool to, seeing a galaxy-load of infantry falling through the sky with little packs on their back, then flames shooting out at a certain altitude as their altitude reached a certain point. As they hit the ground gently, losing 1/4 quarter of their stamina (like in parachuting) the ditch the packs and enter through the roof.

I'm assuming that the defense is going to use the two gelatinous balls mounted in the front of their skull and SEE YOU as you land a bigass galaxy on their own fukkin roof! Then there gonna start lobbing grenades and such onto whatever building you landed on, you don't have TIME to squat and heal. And yes, I read in the forums that KDs only lessen damage, so you can fall damn far and not die, but you won't be taken a whole lotta bullets later without med attention. I propose that the KDs reduce an amount of stamina proportional to how far you fell. If you fell far enough to drain more than yer stamina bar, it starts takin health away proportionately too. Iffen you enter the building before healing, you need ta watch out for turrets and defenders they've prob placed there.
BTW, ever *read* black hawk down? Airlift, if you are planning on LANDING yer slow galaxy, unloading 10 guys and maybe 2 maxes, dontcha think there are gonna be a few peeps with Punishers, decimators, or other explosive weps? With the speed I expect the galaxy to be moving at ("Handling: Poor") you aren't gonna be taking off to quickly either. those 20mm gunners can only do so much, and they won't last long tationary either when someone is using splash damage weapons. Plan on respawning, or tellin them to jump.

I don't know if I have skills yet, but a lot of it has to do with tactical doctorine anyway. I'm not going to say I'm some kind of uber pilot, and I don't even know the flight model beyond what's been said.
My outfit has been bouncing a document around to try to pre-guess how we want to play and why. We settled on Air Assault, and you can read the page to find out why if you want. It hasn't been updated to the latest version, so it doesn't include Pathfinders, Air Cavalry, and the FARP. I don't think I'll necessarily land my Galaxy undetected, but unless the defenders are very prepared, I'll probably drop my crew off.
