I just got a new Wacom Intuos2 drawing tablet and I freakin love it. Finally being able to do stuff like this on the computer is so great.
That's a bit of concept art I did (for an HL2 total conversion that me and some friends are planing) using nothing but photoshop and my tablet. No more scanning in sketches, no more pain in the ass shading and coloring with the mouse. It's so great. Any of you artistic types out there who think you might want to get a drawing tablet for your computer, I highly recommend Wacom's products. They're a little more expensive than the other brands, but the quality is grade A. I used to have some off brand tablet, and it sucked. This one is a million times better in every way. A little bit about this tablet. It's got a cordless pen that is entirely batteryless. Yet is has 2 buttons, an eraser (yes, you just turn the pen over and it switches to the eraser tool in whatever program you're using), and the tablet can detect it up to an inch above the tablet's surface. I have no idea how that's done without a battery, but that's how they do it. It also senses the tilt of the pen and can change your brush accordingly, and it can sense 1024 different levels of pen pressure, also changing the brush accordingly. Anyhow...I just had to tell somebody about it's awsomeness.
