I'm taking a beginner motorcycle class the end of this week to get my license, and then i'm gonna hunt for a bike; probably a crotch rocket, but that's not set in stone. Any riders here with suggestions in the 600cc engine range? I'm not a screw-ball looking to race, so ridiculous acceleration/top-end speed is not a must. I want something I can ride to work and go have fun with on the weekends. Here's what my priority list probably looks like from most to least important:
1. handling and control
2. cornering
3. comfort
4. acceleration
5. speed
