Rbstr take a look for meh

My mom wants me to build a pc, so I want you to check it for me. Here it is:.

The tower:http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...156-114&depa=1

Mobo:http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...131-450&depa=1

processor:http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...103-378&depa=1

Hard drive:http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...144-151&depa=1

vid card: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...145-073&depa=1

sound card: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-162&depa=1

cd drive: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...135-017&depa=1 Is it possible to get two cd drives, where I can have one just for burning cds?

memory: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....oryId=cat01169
*can get more later on budget*

Windows XP Home edition

Got everything else what do you think? Also how do you put all this stuff together?
and run it?

Thats good, but 4 points I'd like to make.

1 - You chose an OEM CPU. These do not come with coolers, so for a good cooler for a cheap price, you could either do 2 things - Spend an extra $4 on the retail version (with cooler) Here (Easter Promotion) OR buy a Cooler and some thermal paste (More Expensive)

2 - You NEED a better PSU, not the one with the case, Never use cheap PSU's (Like the one you get with a case) on a gaming rig. I'd reccomend This It's not cheap, but it will do you, and your PC components better in the long run, you should never skimp on a PSU. Nvidia reccomends at least a 350w PSU in order to run their Video Cards on systems.

3 - That motherboard is for INTEL Processors, when you chose an AMD Processor :P Get yourself an ASUS A7N8X - NewEgg Linkage Look at the price too

4. You saved money from the mobo, so you can get more RAM, I'd reccomend This. Yes, It's "budget" ram, but don;t knock this stuff, it can get good, tight timings, nice speeds, and is cheap to boot.

Hope that helps... I'm not too sure on US Pricing, so I don't know if that's a good price or not, but hope it helps

As with actually building it, it's not too hard. Asus Motherboards all come with a system building guide, which is really easy to follow, just make sure you read the instructions, and you should have no problem AMD CPUs also come with a guide on how to install a CPU. This guide from PCMech.com is good too.

Hope that helps!

I have that case and though its only 350 my system ran perfectly the only rewason a got the 500w is because it was on sale for $50 and it was a resonable quality.

that Mobo is imo the best money can buy. It acctualy can perform just as good if not better than the 875p chipset mobo's becasue they enabled PAT something that only 875's are suposed to have.

WOAH!!!! thats an AMD athlon and you got a P4 Mobo that wil not work at all, either do what frag recomended with the other mobo or get yourself a 2.4c ghz P4 fast and cheap.

Thats the HD i'm going to get soon (aka when i got teh monies) Almost eveyone agrees the Westerdigital Caviar drives are beaicaly the best 7,200 rpms out there and being on SATA means its a bit faster than the normal ones.

The video card is good, it acctualy beats the 9600XT inalot of things, and the new 60.72 drivers that got leaked Realy fix a TON of the 5xxx lines IQ/performance problems

Again thats the Soundcard i have, very nice, though if you don't need Supreme sound quality and want to save the money use the mobo's onboard sound it doens't suport any of the fancy things like EAX but its not bad

fine DVD-rom, yes you can get two CD drives, acctualy you can get 4 in there because you aren't using the Other IDE cablefor a hard drive.

That memory is a tad ecpensive and not realy what you need, frag has a good option try this stuff too its dual channel more expensive but if you can get it you double your memory bandwidth and get alot more memory http://www.buyxtremegear.com/geil8.html

ok aloat of those are 404 errors but assuming your going with the same CPU as you had above earlyier that mobo will be great.

yeah everything is good, and YES for the second time you can have two drive and you can use them for whatever you want
