Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing much lag withthe new patch? I have a fast Comp AMDXP3000, and fast ping avg 46. But I see my FPS lag some and the upstream /downstream going red. Can anyone tell me the significance of the upstrea/downstream?

I as well have been having this problem. I don't understand it. my whole outfit has been affected. I have a custom built Computer with over a gig of ram and a hyperthreading processor, plus cable internet. There is nothing that i can see, but it has started since the patch... Anyone know what the problem could be?
btw... i have no clue what the significance is of the upstream;downstream is, but i assume it has to do with information coming in and out of the comp to the PS server. Mine as well has been going into the red. |

its really weird for me
people complained that they had huge packet loss and got disconnected from the server for no reason at the time i was in pl heaven having no lag at all, half an hour later i got massive packet loss and got disconnected same as the other people then one night i played the game was sooo stuttery it was almost unplayable, it wasnt my computer but the frames would stutter every second making the frames go down a ton but it didnt say so in my frames info box its reallly flukey

Upstream and downstream have to do with the amount of information that is going to the server and from the server. The fact that it is going red doesnt really signify much except that you are receiving a lot of information. If you have a hi speed connection then you should be able to recieve the information without much connection lag.
About the FPS loss: Make sure that for some reason you dont have Hi-res textures enabled since they are now back in a may be sucking a lot of memory from you. I personally havent had this problem but I read somewhere that it helps if you turn on Hi-res textures then log out of the game and then turn them off again and re logout just to make sure that they are really off. Ive not tried this so I am not sure if it will help or not. |

I've been noticed some random game stutters, as well as bad lag on Emerald. Markov works pretty well (odd since I'm closer to East Coast), and I get almost the same fps now as in the previous patch. But those damn 2-10 second game freezes are really cheesin me off! I'll be playing fine, 20-50fps, then bam, everything stops for a few seconds. Wait a few seconds and the game runs perfect again. If I happened to be in combat, I'm now dead . Tried running with high-res textures off and saw no change at all, except for vehicles looking really ugly (side-note: Hi-Res textures weren't working before this patch? The game with Hi-Res textures look exactly the same as the game did before the patch to me).

I seem to have exactly what Blackhawk is talking about. For a while after the new patch i was unable to move let alone look at an nme coming at me. I fit the bill with plenty of computer and cable internet and also just wanted to say that its good (kinda) that im not the only one having these problems.
