Sharing XP

Don't you all think it is about time that the gunner shares XP with the drivers of the various vehicles and vice versa.

Would make the driving more popular I think.

I think they mentioned theyre thinking about that some months ago and is something they have been planning on adding. And im wondering if its coming in the next patch.

It's not in the patchlist for 2.7 but it's something they're working on yes. Will come in handy with the new vehicle variants.

Definitely would be something to look into. I think it would also help get more vehicles out in the fields, as more people would cert in them, since they would also get XP from it. Good call.

I thought it would be cool if there was a "kill assist" thing like in halo, where if you did a majority of damage to someone and they died afterwards (from someone else) you get a kill assist. same goes for drivers/gunners in a vehicle.

I think most XP should still go to gunner though. Maybe just 1/2 of what the gunner gets, the driver should get. This would give drivers more of an incentive and also reward them for their hard work, but not turn PS into VehicleSide.

Drivers and gunners should share as a team. If you have 3 gunners, then the driver and all 3 gunners should split xp, similar to what you see in a squad. Simple fact, without the driver, there is no gun for that gunner! By adding in split/shared xp, then you would make things like tanks and libs alot more attractive to cert in.

Also, I really want to see vehicle intercom put in soonest. Hell, while they are at it, why not throw a vehicle bar on screen, to show you who is in your vehicle. Put it at the bottom of the screen or something. Would be handy to see your occupants at a glance. Maybe even add an icon to show the vehicle's locked/empire/group status as well as the trunks locked/unlocked status. Yeah, I know you can pull up the vehicle information pane, but it is a pain. Lets make this game a little more user friendly!!

i agree. i'd hate to see battles that consisted of nothing but Mags and Vans and Prowlers and Threshers and Enforcers and Marauders all god damned day. "VehicleSide" is not a pretty sight in my humble opinion.

you won't see threshers, and as long as AV weaponary are effective, it won't turn into "vehicleside" any time soon, even with those incentive xp sharing....

i used to be an awsome mag driver. but since i get alot of lagg, i stopped squadding. i usually solo. sucks driving a mag around and some gunner is getting tons of xps from your mag and you get nothing. i dropped that cert. now the i occasionally squad, i am thinking of picking this cert back up, but seeing that i still solo, i prob won't. i just keep using my atv for self transport and long range sniping

but, if people started sharing vehicle xp, that would be awsome. VehicleSide would be a CE's wet dream. won't be vehicle side for long, lol. the more people pick up vehicle certs, the more people will pick up CE.
