What processor do you have?

You must have an older CPU if you're gonna get some PC2100? If not, then why not get RAM that matches your FSB speed?

You need to post more detailed system specs. You should've recieved documention with your PC. If you have a receipt it should have the model number on it and you can contact vpr Matrix customer support and they can help you find out.

i went to the place on the net and i typed in my PC name and stuff and it said that the DDR DIMM PC-2100 will speed my comp up faster than the other stuff so why would u say it wouldnt speed my comp up?
also the game takes 512 to run so if i got 1024MB of the stuff that runs my comp fastest and then put on Dual channel wouldnt it be pretty fast with just a few lags?

It should get better than it was befoer in everything, but planetside is an oddball, when i got my gig i got a 2fps improvment but my loading times went down and i never get the coming out of a door lag situation anymore, so my FPS stays more constant. Some peopl have gotten great FPS results other have got very little, it's hard to say when it comes to ps.

But it worth getting as it will speed everything else up

Basically, PC2100 is slow as crap. I mean, if it is all your computer will take, I would consider gettin a new computer, because it sounds like it is past obsolete at this point...

Yeah, I suggested that the moment he gave his comp specs and asked if it would run PS. He chose the upgrade road, so I just followed along.

How did that turn into an argument weather pc2100 is good or not?

And its not realy haveing alot of memory in PS as having memory bandwidth for the memory you have, that's my therory.

the fact is 2100 it the slowest ddr out there and he needs to get himslef a new comp within a year of these upgrades or no new things will work
