I just wanted to know if this setup will run PS so I can see where I stand before I purchase the game. I know there are a lot of things that could make a PC game not work on a certain PC setup, but if anyone can tell me if they think it will run for me or not it would be appreciated.
Toshiba Satellite A15 Laptop WinXP Pentium 4 Processor 2.4mhz 256mb DDR RAM Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (64mb and DirectX compatible) Once again thank you for any help. -Davik |

The graphics card might or might not work, but the real killer there is your ram. PS is ram intensive, basically unplayable below 512, or so I'm told. Yeah, just try the 7-day trial. I bet it runs, but is unplayable in a battle of any size.

Thanks for the input guys, one bad thing is the 7-day trial is closed thats why i'm asking. Well RAM shouldn't be a big problem since I can upgrade my laptops RAM if I wan't, but i'm really worried about the graphics card which I CAN'T upgrade since it is a laptop graphic chipset. Any more input is welcome, and if bad goes to worse anyone wan't to buy a 5 month old laptop or sell me a comp for a fair price , thanks.

Trial is closed go check the actual download it say [Closed] next to it. On the other hand I have just decided to sale my laptop. So if you or a person you know might be interested in a 5 month old laptop check out this link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ESSE%3AIT&rd=1 . Once again thanks for all the help guys.
One more thing it is a good laptop to play Call of Duty, Battlefield 1942, or other games like them when your on a long trip. At least thats what I do . Last edited by Davik Dakari; 2004-05-05 at 01:17 PM. |

Here's what I view as the actual minimum requirements for Planetside (The SOE ones are bullshit):
Intel Pentium 4 or AMD 2.0 Gigahertz 512 MB RAM 128 MB Video Card, personal preference on exact model 512 KB Internet Connection With the above computer/laptop, you can play Planetside, if not to it's full degree, at least with a good quality of graphics and fairly minimal lag. |
