Interesting...If this is true, ATI will have some 'splainin to do.
For all of you who don't know what this means: "Allegedly" the X800 stays in brilinear mode, even if you set it to trilinear, which is why the X800 seems to be ahead of the 6800 while they are both suppose to be set to trilinear. As soon as you use colored mipmaps, the X800 is forced into trilinear, losing it's performance boost, and suddenely becomes slower than the 6800. I will be very disappointed if this is true... |

Graphics card companies always cheat on benches Nvidia did it horribly on 3dmark03. It may just be a mistake in the driver someware.
BTW the tech forum is a place for stuff like this, it not just for problems
