10 days trial...

i am trying to get a 10 days trial
in planetside.com, but its says i have to have a subrice of credit card....
why?! i just want a trial version...

You have to give your credit information so they can bill you IF you continue to play after the trial. All MMOs do this to make money off the people who forget to cancel their accounts.

Why is it so hard to make a program that cancels all trial accounts the day they end? I'm sure the SOE prgrammers could handle that..

You can only get the 10 day trial from a friend that has PlanetSide, its part of the Recuit a buddy system. And you can't get the 7 day one from FilePlanet anymore, and the 30 day one is gone too.

It's probably also there to help stop people from making up hotmail email accounts to use trial accounts.

Although the money thing is probably true also... but why wouldn't you want to continue playing Planetside?
