It seems that killing an NC player doesnt count anymore.
http://psforums.station.sony.com/ps/...cending&page=2 Kiilling an NC makes it show for the sessions stats then its not saved, EXP is also lost. |

Someone said that the Vanu Empire was an after thought by the developers, put in at the last moment.....
Is that true?

Yes. You know as well as I do that your empire is the overlooked redheaded stepchild of the game.
The Developers threw them in there at the last moment thinking, "People will go red and black because it looks cooler than blue and yellow. But then they'll find out that all of TR's weapons suck sweat-nads, so we need a spiffy alternative since they'll hate us after playing against us. Hey, let's give them hover-tech and laser guns. But to counter-balance it, we'll make them purple and teal!" Of course... then in their quest to force TR to disband, they forgot about VS until people were gnashing their teeth, pulling out their hair, and lamentating their women. So then came the Lasher 2.0, also known as Spam-In-A-Can. And lo, there was much rejoicing. Thus did David leap and dance and make a joyful noise unto the Developers. Amen and amen. Selah. |

I dunno all things considered I find that the Vanu aren't so much neglected. I mean the lasher, in the right hands, can really own. Of course, the same could be said for all weapons. I know personally though that the only VS weapon I ever steal is the pulsar. I really like the gun and the rapid switching between standard and AP is nice. I think it boils down to three things that determines what force wins a fight:
Numbers - Ok unless you're uber-god, there's a slim chance that your squad of 5 will successfully take a tower being defended by 20 enemies. Leadership - If you have a smart leader who's calling the right shots and can think on his/her feet, then you've got a huge advantage. I've played under great squad leaders and we've owned left and right, then a crappy one comes and we die even though we have superior firepower/numbers. Skill - No brainer here. If there's a confrontation between a veteran using a guass/cycler/pulsar and a n00b with an HA weapon, chances are the vet will win out of sheer skill. This is the whole basis of the game.

In the begining this game was supposed to be a war between different companies over a new planet, and you were mercenaries, I think it was just 2 companies, but for various reasons they changed it to empires and added the vanu during alpha.

Well it explains why we always get the left over bones thrown at us....
and what someone once said: TR get's nerf after nerf after buff VS gets Buff after nerf after buff NC gets buff after buff after nerf
