Alright. Full Spectrum Warrior comes out tomarrow (Wensday) on X-Box. For those of you who don't know, FSW is a tactical strategy game originally drafted by the U.S. Millitary to train soldiers for urban warfare. It has since been declassified for the civillian markets and bought by THQ.
The game stresses fire and movement tactics between fireteams Alpha and Bravo, both four-man teams comprised of a Squad Leader (M4 Carbine), Automatic Rifleman (SAW Gunner), Grenader (M16/M203) and a Rifleman (M4 Carbine). The focus of the game is to use teamwork between the fireteams to accomplish a variety of missions, ranging from WIA extraction, lazing of enemy armor for helicopter airstrikes, Sniper Supression, and general street sweeping.
FSW has no real resource management of any kind, except for ammo, which for ease of operation, is handled in percents for each fireteam. Grenades must also be managed (M203, handthrown fragmentation, and smoke grenades are all avaliable.). Many tactics, like supression fire, bounding, and overwatch must be used.
The real draw of the game is that you can split up the action with another player on X-Box Live, where each player takes control of one of the fireteams for the single player missions. Teamwork and communication are key.
So, for those of you who know all this, I'm preaching. Who's planning on getting it, and who wants to play Co-Op?
