What is your favorite game series?

Well?

I like Deus Ex personally. The gameplay is awesome, and it has easily one of the best stories I've ever seen, in a movie, in a game, in a book, whatever. It also has the philosophy stuff going on. Like when you listen to the Morpheus AI is the first one or listen to JC in the second one.

Fallout, that or Final Fantasy, sure, there have been bad ones, but plenty that i consider the best games of all time.

I just played through Deus Ex Invisible War. Pretty cool game.

Personally my favortive games? Freespace and Freespace 2. Other than that, prolly the Homeworld series. Also a whole lot of other games that I'm too tired to think of right now.

Much love for the old school brother! I can't say I ever got into tribes, but the starwars space sims were great. (Granted I was probably 5-7 at the time I played them.)

But my favorite series would probably be thief or phantasy star online.

/me played through x-wing, x-wing alliance, and x-wing vs. tie fighter.

God I fucking OWNED in a Tie. Fuck shields and quad-linked lasers. Give me a good 'ol boxy tie with its shitty twin lasers and paper-thin hull. I could outmanuever anything the Rebellion sent after me! (Tho the A-Wing was similarly pretty cool.)

edit- and yeah, I totally forgot the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series and the Mechwarrior games. Those fucking rocked too (tho, MW4 kinda seemed too noobified for my tastes... still was an excellent game, PH34R MY LRMS and PPCS!)

Shit, you all got it wrong.

The best series of all time was the X-com series.

And no, you can't question it unless you can name me at least one alien species from the original game (hence proving you played and earning massive props from me for being a true gamer).

i did, but i cant remember the name of the species, i can however name every X-Com.

Terror from the deep, Attack from above, below, and all sides.....actualy, i cant remember that either, but PSO, Xwing, Tie Fighter, all these series youve named are great
