While it would be cool if they had sniping head shots it will never happen. The engine PS uses doesnt allow for seperate hitboxes and locational damage on soldiers, it would require too much computing power. The devs have already mentioned this on the OF.

Actually, PS' engine DOES accomidate individual hitboxes. They were just excluded to eliminate potential lag. Hitboxes = more complex tracking for where each given hitbox was as any given time, and then checking the damage against a database of some sort to determine the final damage.
That's really too bad because if they did individual hitboxes, they could probably do cool stuff like explosives you could stick to vehicles, or aircraft where the passengers could be hit and shoot out of independently.

I hate the maelstrom....god it sucks. Ah well, I think that while the hitboxes would be cool, they would have to put the system reqs up to a 2 gig processor with 1 gig or ram, bare minimum. Until next year that's not gonna happen for most people.
