Long story.
I switched my CD-R drive out for a CD-RW one. Well, leave it to fucking windows to be a bitch and require me to re-activate because of that. Problem is, I can't find the product key lable. So I say fuck it and put in a "less than legal" crack which replaces the winlogon.exe and then requires you to run two things after rebooting in safe mode. Well my computer acts like going into safe mode, then just restarts, and gets an error that the winlogon isn't good. So after some thinking I take my older comp that has WinXp on it and decide that I can boot from it, then go into the other drive and put back the original winlogon.exe. Haha! It'd be too easy for life to let me do THAT! So logging on, I find for some reason my keyboard/mouse don't work. After thinking a bit, I reset the mobo's configuration manually. Then after trying that, the mobo decides not to recognize the 4 IDE connections (DVD, CD, 2 HDDs.) Once in a while it'll recognize the DVD and CD drives, but only every so often. I've tried resetting the BIOS and everything, but on bootup it says that there's no boot disk in the selected boot drive. I've even resorting to the less favorable choice of FDISKing it, but it wont let me, I guess because it contains the system files. I'm tired of this crap. This all originated because of fucking Microsoft. I assume the problem lies within the mobo, which is an ASUS AMD Chipset K8V model. Life loves to fuck me over!

Redo everything and borrow a friend's CD key. Nothing good can come from trying to crack that shit.
The problem didn't originate from Microsoft. The problem originated from you trying to crack their OS. If I was microsoft i'd put in a fail-safe melting your motherboard to your processor if you tried cracking their shit. |

The problem is, I can't get into the hard drive. I've tried everything, even wiping it clean, but that doesn't work. Also, I have 2 copies of WinXP, and I used the other one's key, doesn't work, so yes, I stand by my screw microsoft thing. I even used ViewKeyXP, which gives you the key based on your computer (works for everyone else it seems) and that didn't work. I wasn't going to go out and buy another copy.
My problem currently is the mobo not recognizing the IDE periphs, so please only post if you know how to fix it, because I know you all crack shit too.

No, I don't. Never have, never will. I use full versions of Windows ever since 3.1. Never had a problem like that. Reading your post again, I still say the problem started when you tried deleting .exe files and tried bypassing the securities on WinXp.
You'll have to wait until one of the kazaa using kiddies gets here. They have all kinds of cracks. Doubt you'll get anything useful from them though. Honestly though, I hope this is a signal that Microsoft has developed a way to fry your machine if you try stealing their technology. |

Well the whole Windows thing I can deal with reformatting....if I could get it to. I'm going to just take my old computer appart, clean out all the pr0n, then mount it in the new one. That way I have windows running there with XP and a clean drive.....I just need to find out how to get the mobo to recognize the drives so I can clear them.

I am giving you tech advice.
1. Wipe your partition and start over - you fucked up. 2. Install Windows the legal way. 3. Stop going to sites where you download viruses and spyware by the dozens. If you don't like the common sence lessons given within those tech support steps, that's not my problem. |
