basically this is for what you think the devs should do for future events, which seems rather inevitable.
a few ideas are: - tag: where everyone is supposed to pick up an item, the empire with the most time at the end wins, the item is passed to the person who killed for it or will be dropped until someone picks it up, it can be carried by foot or by any vehicle, allowing lots of dogfights... i've forgotten the others for now, sorry... please give your ideas... P.S. also, about hotdroppers: 1) they should get damaged when they land so that if they are allready low on life they will die... 2) whoever blows up an enemies vehicle should get EXP for it Last edited by hex222; 2004-07-05 at 04:47 PM. |

They could turn Sporkfire into Sporkfirezilla and have him emerge from the Searhus crater and start stomping on tanks and such.

Mwuhahaha, over a week do the biblical curses. But instead of locusts just drain a single cont of all its NTUs or something (or even the world? *laughs maniacally*) Not sure what you'd do about the "first born son..." one mind...
Comets I'd like though.

All these so-called "special events" that we were supposed to see (in lieu of more important things like flushing toilets in Sanc and fixes to red-and-black) such as racetracks, outfit versus outfit competitions, and all that useless junk... as well as more important ideas like VR training that can fit an entire squad in a single room... that's all well and good but we see how long it takes them to fix a major issue like backwards XP benefits that benefit the dominant empire (despite their fixing a problem or rolling back a patch in under an hour from release, hmm suspicious yes?). Getting something like this will likely take about a year. And I'd still rather see new content, free expansions or expansions that DON'T suck or AREN'T useless, plus fixes to long-standing problems above all else.

I agree with Firefly. Fix the known issues with the game first before launching into another expanded play or new vehicle or whatever. Fix issues that have been recurring over and over again with the game. No need to nerf things or buff things yet. Just bring Planetside to a stable baseline before launching any more buffs/nerfs/new content/expansions.
I hope that the DEV team is actually pushing this and it's the suits over at SOE pushing them to do these expanded contents. If it is, we need a new rally cry; NERF THE SUITS!!!!!

Heh, if they had to fix all the bugs in PS first they probably would never get around to developing new content
They've been bug fixing and balancing for a year now, I think they've realised this and are getting some new content out the door now. Perhaps they'll go back to bugfixing for .10 and .11 |
