One of the implants mentioned a sound boost where you could hear footsteps much more easily, somethign very usefull for veteran CS players, but is there going to be sort of an ambiant battle music in the game? or will it be silent save the sounds of war, cause i know whenever I have winamp going in CS i can't hear much, let alone somoenes footsteps.
I think a sort of drummy battle dirge type music would be nice but does anyone know? Looked around and didnt find anything on this hehe. |

Actually the sound boost implant picks up footsteps of people and automatically places them on your personal radar. I believe it only works if they are running. The silent run implant cancels this out. However, being able to hear your environment well will probably be some sort of an advantage I'd imagine. They've already stated that the secondary modes of the knives generate noise, and that infiltration suits have a slight ambient sound effect as well.

Although I agree that life would be cool if it had it's own soundtrack... such as when something exciteings happening dangerous music should play...
But when it comes to a game that I want to be as realistic as possible.. I really don't want music...

Just like he said, you can't actually here the footsteps but it lets you pick it up on the radar alot easier then usually. |

Well actually, having music in vehicules and Bases could be cool.. just like some sort of radio. Think of it like in Gran Theft Auto..
Flying around in a Dropship is neat when you sit in the backseats, looking out the windows and listening to 'Long Tall Sally' (Predator anyone? Oh yeah |
