uh what number is that CPU 2000+ or 2100+? i don't know the GHz of athlon chips as that doesn't matter much.
if you had a gig of ram that would help.

well i woudl opt for a better CPU at this point, probably a 2500+ or 3000+ barton, but you may need a new mobo and ram to go with it

You should be fine, but you wont be able to play at max settings, but your cheapest upgrade would probably be a new cpu, although not knowing your fsb, or motherboard, I can't help you with the best options.

You can defintely play PS now thats for sure. Your right on the spot for ram, so defintely lower your visual's and keep it at 1024.
Get as much info on your mb/cpu. Depending on the options in your bios, and your ram you could possibly OC nicely. Some of the 1700's were well known to clock up to 2.2+. But you defintely have to have ram that can hit a high fsb and a good mb. Otherwise you can defintely use atleast a xp2400 as its a 133/266 bus the same as your current cpu. Going to a barton 166/333 or 200/400 may give your mb/ram trouble. |
