You guys seem not to totally understand...
I work on a few BF mods too, and i can tell you - DC has had an immeasurable high influence. They raised the bar ridiculously high. The weapons are all amazing modelled and skinned, but besides that, they did it all, at the start, without the MDT's, which make it so much easier now. Without them, mods, like my own WDW, could get away with having crappy skins and slightly dodgy coding [though our coding is for the most part very good] - but as i said, they raised the bar. I can say with little doubt that without DC, Forgotten Hope, Surreal and all the other quality mods would not be as good by any means. Their custom textures on their maps bring them to life so much. Compare Basrah's edge with, say, the buildings in El Alamein and you'll see what i mean. |

I understand your point. I'm simply saying that I'm glad it boosted the BF1942 mod community up, but I didn't really like it as a game at all.
THAT SAID, I am looking forward to Battlefield 2. Jeeze, disagree with you guys in the least and it's out with the torches and pitchforks.
