I think the funny thing is how Strygun just sat there and let Doop get away with exploiting ignore. I apologise if Strygun didn't see it, after all, there was alot of scrolling.

Ignore is there for a purpose. When I put someone on ignore, I don't want to see them speak. At all.

Same. I put the aforementioned person on ignore weeks ago, and he keeps evading my ignore (In IRC, by /quit messages, !buy/!seen, and in AIM) and it's starting to piss me off. I've quit IRC and signed out of AIM because said person keeps harrassing me.

It's sad too, because I like IRC, but not when shit like this happens.

I happen to remember SOMEONE who avoided my ignore whenever I ignored him.
And no, I don't have any logs proving this. But maybe people have seen him doing it in the past.

Welcome to my life, Dhark. This is what I went through, having to get off IRC because you wouldn't stop. This is the SAME exact situation as before - you using !buy and other Phobos commands and /quit to avoid my ignore, and making ME sign off IRC because you wouldn't shut up. See how annoying it is?

That's the thing. It takes TWO people to argue, not one, TWO, I couldn't "start shit" as you say, if I was on ignore. Please, put me on ignore, and this all stops.

One thing I hate is you immature bastards that try to start arguements on IRC in a pathetic attempt to bolster your ego. Sadly, half the time I buy into it. I'm easily pissed off and some people like to try to capitalize on that. Anyhow, its not beneficial to the PSU community in any way and something needs to be done about it.

edit- one reason I stick around here is because the community at times is like a big family. Just like in every family you've got siblings that rival and never stop chafing one-another. However, just like in a family, this kind of thing can get out of hand, and needs to be controlled. I hope that analogy helps portray my view of things.

On topic: I have pages and pages (Megabytes) of logs that contain nothing but arguing... someone needs to be the bigger man and simply use the IRL ignore feature... you know the one in your head that can block anything out... heh...
