Gen room flooding.

Earlier today i was trying to get the gens up oon hossin. One of the bases between our tech plant and our currently besieged capital had maybe a half squad of vanu, maxes, squishies, the whole nine yards just camping in the gen room.

It got me thinking, what if friendlies ina base could flood the gen room with some kind of coolant, after it'd been blown. Thereby clearing it of hostiles, this could be done by either an advanced hacker or engineer near the panel. Just random verbage, everyone knows i fricking hate special ops.

I think something like that would help a lot.

BTW: I was one trying to jack the shield mod at Voltan. I made 5 NC have to stand watch over the base so I couldn't try again.

I whould really be ok with you only being able to drop gens if you have a link to the base, but it's been proven in the past that all the little spec oppers hate that idea.

I have no problem, so long as spec opps can hack into that same gen flooding system and kill a few would-be repairmen

/me slaps dhark.

That doesnt work if the gens are down.

Doppler. Hate spec opers if you want but they are an important part of this game. Just having a game where all you do is fight head to head would leave for NO stratigy. As we all know droping all the techplant gens an enemy has can cripple him. Destroying a DC gen can do the same. Point is PS wouldnt work without Spec ops. We would have ALOT more battles that stalemate. Cant have that. I know the gens can still go down with your idea, but then you jsut rush in and repair in a minute. Great! Now we have the gens back up so the drop was pointless. Keeping a gen room held down is easy. Clearing one is also easy. Its what thumpers and Radiators backed up by an AI max are for.

Thumpers open door and lob shells in. Enemy trys to run out and kill them. AI maxs own them.

Just let hackers be able to disable Friendly/Enemy Identifier on the turrets then sure
...Wish we could do that to spitfires )

hehe...

My boss had a guy who walked into a computer room that had a Halon release accidently tripped. He walked out on his own power, looked at my boss, and proceeded to let gravity take over his 300lb body. My boss said that he actually bounced up.

The guy lived. He had 90% of both lungs damaged. Healing process was long and hard but he pulled through.
