No total conversion stuff obviously, but some interesting addons. like the one that lets you play multiplayer with 32 people! other then that its mostly useless garbage.

Is Doom multi any good? I dont want to waste my time downlo......errr *buying* it if multi aint very good.Was gonna take me like 8-10 hours to *buy* it and Im not sure if i want to waste my time.Bittor......err Best buy is being gay and goes realy slow for some reason.

The nogib/nodissolve/tons-o-blood mod is great, it really gives a better illusion of reality, you know, because in real life you wouldnt be able to sheer all the flesh off of a person with your fist. I also downloaded the Weapons Upgrade mod, and although t does wonders to the underpowered pistol and assault rifle (doubles the ammo, doubles the refire, and just about doubles the damage, making headshots much more noticable compared to body shots), it absolutely destroys the shotgun's weaknesses and makes it capable of killing an imp at long range with one shot, not to mention the fact that you get double ammo and twice the refire. I'm gonna keep it for the pistol and AR upgrades, but the instant that i find a mod that give you a more balanced shotty (as well as not buffing your health and armor to near-god status) I'm going to replace it. Fun if you just like blasting things with little reason, bad if you actually want to be challenged.

I think the best mod out their is the sound mod for the shotgun. It brings up the bass for the shotty and pistol. Other then that the rest of the mods suck as far as I know. I dont like buffing or nerfing things with mods I like to play it the way it was meant to be played. After all this isnt planetside here. As for the nogib mod it adds a bug in nightmare mode killing the gameplay. Last edited by Disconnecting; 2004-08-07 at 10:20 AM. |
