Notice the three "Canisters" At the bottom right. What are those? Were they a good idea? Why arent they in the game now?

I don't think Flashbangs/Smoke Grenades would work in PlanetSide. Flashbangs would be easily usable to grief friendlies (like the pre-fix Jammer Grenades), and Smoke Grenades would cause a lot of lag.

Right, I reckon it's half a jammer grenade.

Now I say half because I believe there was a time when the jammer grenade didn't do everything that it does now. In other words the original jammer grenade was merged with the canister you see there to create the all-round jammer grenade we know today. Unfortunately I don't remember what actually got merged so I can't tell you what the canister actually did, if it's what I suspect it is.

Yup. Mine sweeper, it used to only take out mines (And CE, I think?) and they just merged it with the jammer.
