I haven't been playing planetside for very long, but I've noticed that I get a lot more BEP for knifing people and a lot less for killing players that just spawned.
Does anyone know how the BEP gained for a kill is calculated? Time since they spawned seems to affect it, since you get 1 more bep for killing a recently spawned player at an equipment terminal compared to killing them while they're still in the spawn tube. |

And of course, vehicle kills give good experience, if you kill the pilot while he's still in it. For a while vehicles were even giving double experience, but that's been fixed.
You also get more experience per kill when there are fewer people in your squad (and a lot when solo). The reasoning being that the more people you are squaded with, the more net kills, and thus, the more experience overall.
