Only problem is the game is an RTS, and like all RTS's the infamous "rush" exists and is pretty much the only way to win these days.
Like in DoW, i'll churn out scouts untill i get to about 300 res left and then build a barracks and then a force commander, my scouts will capture nearby res nodes but as soon as the FC is 70% ill launch an assault on the enemy. I hate winning like this but Space marines arent all that great in late-tech battles. Thats my opnion of course, feel free to argue, but Land-raiders arent enough bang per buck and costs a whopping 4 vehicle slots to boot. And don't even get me started on the "terminators", Warren Currell must be turning in his grave...well, he would be if he was dead. In the 40k Universe, the greatest warriors of the Imperium (Mankind) are the space marines, the elite of the space marines are granted Tactical Dreadnaught Armour aka Terminator Armour. The armour is so thick and heavy it uses a series of pistons and hydrolyics just to move in them, but the protection and firepower they bring to the table are immense. In DoW though, this just isnt true. I would much rather have a fully equiped Tactical squad with x2 HB's and x2 ML's than a terminator squad as the tactical squad is more versatile.
