Counted the cert points

While I was recerting my character on the test server last night, know what I realized? Under the new cert system for vehicles it is possible to do something you couldn't do under the old system.

You can actully be certed in EVERY vehicle, bfr not included as a vehicle, and still be an engineer. Before you could have every vehicle, but not have the points to be an engineer as well.

Now you can truly have Cavalry characters capable of pulling any vehicle for any outside situation.

Yes, but will they throw that in with one of the cert groups without increasing it's cert cost? If so, then what Majik says will remain true. Before I started playing the game I dreamed of haveing a BR 20 with nothing but weapons and one with nothing but vehicles, I don't think that would be very eficient, but I might try it out now.

It is a possibility, but I see it going in more as a "air support +1" type deal. So you got Air support for 2 points, then you can tack on the phantasm for 1 point more and have advanced air support..etc

i like it, and it would eat up that nasty 1 cert point left over in some set-ups(like mine)

if it's a closed cockpit i see no reason that it couldnt cloak. I mean if we can cloak a person, and an atv, why wouldn't we beable to cloak a small ship regardless if the pilot was an inf?

Same reason the wraith doesn't cloak without an infiltrator.

The only thing I don't like about the recert is that it appears I'll end up with an option between BFR and AMS. I've had AMS from the beginning. I have a floating cert point, and was planning on dumping Vanguard for BFR (freeing up a total of 4 cert points) and figured that BFR would most likely be no more than 4 certs alone. Now I have to keep those 3 cert points locked into Vanguard (well, Lightning and then Vanguard) and I guess I'll grab Flail since it's my only 1 cert point option. Then I'm left deciding between AMS and BFR, and the fact that I'm now left with an option that puts less support out in the field (rather than allowing me to choose to put less armor in the field) kind of sucks.
