hi all,
Ok this is my problem. ive been working on installing ps and updating it all all day today coz i downloaded the full version from sony site. anyhows i was just about to go into training so i can learn all the stuff i need to. and ingame the screen and objects are all white with outlines so i can barely see the outlines of trees etc. Now i have a gf fx 5900 card that works fine with doom 3 etc and my drivers are up to date and so is my Direct X so im not really sure what the problem is so if someone could advise me on what to do next to try and fix it. it would be very helpful thanks for reading |

That happened to me, not to long ago,all I did was uninstall and clean out all old drivers and reinstall the newest, if that doesnt help, try an older driver.

none of the tips worked ive tried everything and it still comes out like that.
i have a geforce fx 5900 and all drivers are up to date. this is so stupid now. i think i might have to return the game. This is what i have done to try and fix it so far: Change gamma settings reinstalled planetside Reinstalled gfx card drivers Reinstall DirectX Reinstalled Old gfx drivers Intalled DirectX 8.1 Cleaned all of above and reinstalled it again Nothing above works So does anyone else have any other suggestions? |

you have run full scan right? you may have a corrupt file or somethign tha tthe patcher normaly doens't mess with.

Hi guys.
Thanks for all the help uve given me my graphics problem is fix now YAY ! but theres another problem, its not really a major problem but it would be nicer if i didnt have to deal with it. Well its just mouse lag. it doesnt really happen inside but outside theres some mouse lag every few seconds and ive tried everything to stop it from happening. again not really a major problem i can live with it, but it would be nice to have a mouse that doesnt lag. i have a MX510 and it works fine with other games. any suggestions to fix it would be nice but not a big deal. Thanks for your help with the graphics again |

Are you using the software that came with it?
If so, you may have the acceleration too fast, which cause occasional skipping.

I reckon the fog emulation table had been disabled in the D3D settings, that's exactly what it looks like. I don't know how people manage to turn fog emulation table off, considering it is on by default since DX7 and the option isn't even available in DX9 driver builds without reg editing, but they do. I bet a few games that don't require it for viewing distance and instead use if for eye candy disable it via reg settings when using very low settings.
Btw, hi, long time no see, resubscribed to PS. |
