Few quick BFR questions

Just have a few questions that I coulnd find an answer to yesterday:

1. How many BD rounds does it take to down the shield gen and sensors? (Tried asking through tells, but all I got was "f you, stop sniping me")
2. Where exactly do you aim to hit the sensors on TR and NC BFRs?
3. What exactly does damaging the sensors do?
4. When a system is down and the pilot gets out to repair, do they have to repair each part seperately, or all at once?
5. Do these babies have built-in zoom, and if so how much? (very important for snipers to know )

1- Don't know.

2- Sensor damage is location non-specific, afaik. I think the only area that actually has a hitbox is the Shield Gen

3- The effects I've seen are losing the ability to see projectiles, losing the ability to see aircraft, losing the ability to see vehicles, and loss of sight range.

4- You repair everything at once. No location specific repair.

5- I don't recall.

1) can't really say, but considering how fast my shield gen went down I'd say 1-3
2) I'd damaged sensors by shooting their back legs and back, rather weird.
3) Damaging sensors decrese the effectiveness of your radar, ya can't tell when missles are flying, the range on your radar gets maybe 50-100m knocked off it's detection radius, and enemy aircraft can't be seen on radar.
4) From my experience you can't repair the systems
5) No built in zoom, standard 2x

Nope, it actually effects your vision. Might mess with your radar, but I know it gimps your visual abilities.

Let me also add that this first week is nothing but glitches and malfunctions with the BFRs, so if you're basing your experience on this week and not previous Test server fights then be aware.

1. It was 8 BD shots to down the shield gen. However my sub ended during the test period of the BFRs so things may have changed since I last played. As for sensors, you also need to hit the shield gen to effect the sensors but I believe malfunctions caused from shooting the shield gen are random so it may take 1 shor to down the sensors one time and more on nother occasion. However a jammer nade can effect sensors regardless where it hits the BFR.

2. The shield gen if your not using jammer nades.

3. Been sufficiently awnsered already.

4. Damage to sub-systems are timer based and will self repair after a certain amount of seconds and thus can not be repaired by anyone else. A player can only repair the BFR chassis itself.

5. I don't believe so but am not sure.

I've never noted any gimps in my visual abilities but when defending an interlink and my sensors got damage the only gimpage was my radar detection range.

Where'd you get that? The first day of release on test it only took a full clip of AP with a cycler, and I know that 8 BD shots is WAY more than that. That was before they lowered the damage needed to take one out, so I think you're mistaken.

As for zoom, I think the only one with greater than 2x is the TR's Burster, it has 4x.

My mistake, or at least possibly my mistake as they may have changed it. Boltdriver can take anywheres from 1 shot to an infinite amount of shots more or less. Heres a quote from Samhayne the producer as of the 19th of October...

Thanks for the help guys. And just a little advice now that I've been playing more:

Forget BD rounds or AP MCG. You wanna take these babies down; just go lay a minefield somewhere. Based on my experience a mine is almost guarenteed to damage at least on subsystem and seriously cut down the armor (regardless of shields).
