Disproving Global Warming

I have a theory that global warming is a hoax, and I have devised an experiment to proove it. Now I can't proove that the earth is or is not warming, but I belive I can proove that the the theory that the polar ice caps are melting and causing the oceans to rise is false.

Take a glass, fill it with water, put some ice cubes in it. Mark where the water line is with tape and cover the glass to prevent evaporation.

My theory is that the amount that the ice sticks up above the water is roughly equal to the amount the ice expands when it is frozen. That would mean that when the ice melted, the water level would stay the same, because the ice shrinking in volume when it melted would counteract the ice that is currently above the water line. In theory this would also be true on a global scale with the polar ice caps being really big ice cubes in a really big glass.

I made my little contraption and am still waiting to see if my theory holds true.

I encourage other people to try this and see if they get the same results as I get.

I will post what happens when the ice melts.

but rising sea levels are only part of the problem, you kill the deep ocean currents without ice caps and that would cause huge weatherpattern shifts, and some people have therorized that it could acctulay throw the earth into a different spin(the winter/summer wobble we have could go poof)

Now global warming isn't immediate, but if could have rather grave consequences down the line.

By then the robots will have taken over anyway, using us as labor in thier flying cities. So we won't need to worry about New York being flooded once a fusion device has been detonated in it by the Android Liberation Army.

The ice hasent fully melted yet, but the water remains at exactly the same level.

triggar, i love you to death, but everytime i look at temperature history for different parts of the world it just seems to be doing the same stuff it does all the time: five years of two or three degree decrease in normal climate, five years of increase, five years where it levels out, and the cycle repeats.

Global warming = the Earth's ozone is depleted to the point where it can't absorb ultraviolet radiation, raising the average temperature of the planet I don't remember what the precise degree measure is per year but it's significant enough.
