BF1942 help

Go to the "Battlefield 1942\Mods\Bf1942\Settings" directory.
Open the "Default.con" file
Find the line "Sound.soundBufferCacheSize 100"
Change the value "100" to "1000"
That should do it.

I noticed about a 95% drop in the number of screeches and pops with Hardware Acceleration enabled and I don't seem to be experiencing any more chop when in sound-intensive areas.
Pull the file into notepad to edit it.
Warning!: This could lead to lowered video performance if you have little memory. It works by increasing the amount of memory used for sounds. If it's too laggy then you can change it back or set it a little more than 100.

DICE did it, not EA

DICE develops, EA handles the business end

You a lot of companies don't even develop their own products. Take Swhepps (dunno spelling) they make ginger ale. They have everything done by different companies. Somone makes the mixture and another person cans it. All swhepps does is market the crap.
