Quite the problem...

Here lies my problem.

For the past year of so I've been doing next to nothing... bascily playing video games and being with my girlfriend was the main occupation. Right now I have fallen in a rut I can't seem to get out of, I need to lose some odd 40 pounds* but I'm too lazy to actually do anything about it and I feel less and less love for my girlfriend everyday.

Now this is where I need your help guys, I'm not one to usually go and cry about my problems on the internet but I've been getting along with you guys alot (I think laugh.gif ) and that's about the closest thing I have to real friends since for the last 10 months I've been too involved into my girlfriend to actually take care of my entourage. I need to do something about each of these problems or else I just know I'll sink into some type of despression or another, hell I already hate myself for not doing anything constructive with my life.

I wanna leave my girlfriend but I don't want to hurt her, she's really easy to make cry and it's by the 10th she will have her 1st session done so I can't drop her before that because... that would fuck her up big time. I care about her but not as much as I used to, not enough to keep saying those three words "I love you". She's great and hot but somehow I feel I need something more. What should I do? Call her and just say it's over? Seems kind of harsh... but none the less I need to do something about it and I come to my somewhat elders for help.

The lazyness and working out thing is what bugs me... I know I should excersice and eat better but I have no idea how... no idea what to do to get my into shape and back to how I used to be. Any tips? I have a kung fu subscription but I'm too lazy to get to the damn class... see my problem?

*I'm 170 or so and 5'5 to 5'7 not sure so I'm supposed to weight 125, 150 max)

Get a job that involves manual labor. Not only will you lose weight and get buff, but you will get paid for it. Well that's what i did at any rate.

I did it in the snow, so can you. And the sidewalks there will be shoveled, most likely.

I know where your coming from Giovanni. It took me awhile to encourage myself to start working out and step away from my computer.

Im trying to gain wieght right now (muscle wieght). Im sick of being skinny. I've manage to put on 5 pounds so far in just over a week. Small gains like these encourage me to continue to work out and spend less time on my computer. I knew if I wasn't gonna do anything about me being skinny i'd just spend alot of my time being depressed and angry with myself for being lazy.

First thing you should do is see a nutritionist. Book an appointment. I now know what to eat and how much. I have to eat over 3000 calories a day and eat 6 meals a day! It's hard but I usually manage. You'll be glad you saw a nutritionist. They'll sit down with you and make a special diet for you.

Obviously your gonna have to make sacrifices if you want to make room to workout. I gave my parents my internet cable so I could get a good start at working out and not be distracted. This is also the reason I haven't bought WoW yet. Because as soon as I do i'll spend every waking hour on it and not workout anymore.

Yeah soo it's been like 2 hours now since I last ate. Better go get a sandwhich.

If you're too lazy to even go out to the gym, I recommend this.

Invest in a good yoga mat, and then do some of these work-outs. They're broken up into short routines based on your experience level and your comfort level. You can do the Modified Basic routine until you feel strong enough to move onto Basic, et cetera. You don't work out for too long - I think each module is about 15 minutes long - but if you do them consistantly you will see a marked improvement on your energy level, your strength, and your body

Here is what I did:

When I began my diet, I was 5'11 and 172 pounds. That's at least twenty pounds overweight. I was pissed off at everyone at everything; I hated girls; I hated skinnier guys; and I hated myself. Uggh, that is shitty. I bought a program called Dietpower. It's a very neat little system that simply has you log all of the foods that you ate for the day. You set a weight goal, and a date, and it slowly measures your metabolism on a day-by-day basis. Based on its constantly updating picture of your metabolism, the program sets a daily calorie intake for you. Exercise ups the amount of calories that you can eat that day; eating lowers it (duh). That all sounds a touch complicated, but it certainly works. I went down to 154 pounds in a few months, managing steady and satisfactory weight loss, and now am ~6'1 and 160 pounds. As you start to mobilize yourself, you might also notice that you rediscover a bit of feeling for your girlfriend. One tip; take daily walks. The critical element in dieting is to simply stimulate your metabolism. Hope this helps!

1) drop her. If yer not gonna marry the girl, drop her. like a rock. if she's that emotional, then you probably aren't gonna be happy if you DO decide to make a commitment (which btw, is stupid in the first place...if you are 18 or younger. if you are older, then ignore step one)

2) get a job in a construction firm. you will make great cash in a short ammount of time, and get buffed out doing it.

3) IF you are over 18, then tell her that you don't want to take the relationship to the next level of commitment, and don't want your relationship to fall into a rut, and that you would both end up happier as friends.

4) GET HOMIES!

5) GET GROUPIES!

yeah....

Don't forget it improves your agility and speed I read. That's one reason I might start doing it. I need more agility and speed for paintball.

I've been thinking about stealing my sister's Pilates video. She never uses it. I was staying at her house for a week and figured, what the hell there's no computer here, I'm board, might as well give it a try. It's harder than I thought. That video really showed me how out of shape I was.

I love Pilates. This morning, in lieu of coffee, I did a 20-minute "AM" yoga workout followed by a 10 minute "Basic" pilates workout. I feel great. The Basic workout is really fast, you're going from pose to pose without time to rest inbetween. By the time you've finished doing about 10 reps of "The Hundred" and "Double Leg Stretch", you'll feel like your stomach muscles are made of steel. It's amazing.
