Flight sim fans?

Who here plays flight sims?

I'm currently into Pacific Fighters (I've installed FB+AEP+PF, not just the wusses with standalone PF.) I'd like to dogfight someone here.

And yes, people who somehow derive enjoyment from MS Flight Simulator 2004 can post. But no landlubbers.

The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.

And now you can't even do that. It's good for pilot training (it can be hella realistic), not much else.

I like the more arcade style flight games, like the Ace Combat series. Sims are kind of boring to me though. I guess I would like them more if my joystick would fucking calibrate correctly .

Best slight sim ever:
Birds of Prey for DOS
Let's go do some supply drop missions(there's troop drop, bomb, intercept, dogfight, and supply drop, super old but indepth sim that I haven't played in 10 years)

IL-2 Sturmovik is the best combat flight sim ever. I need Pacific Fighters so bad.

How is PF/IL2? Screenshots look good, and I tried it at a friends house...I think...it was quiite a bit ago. Can I hook up my joystick and fly around relativly easy? And are there "training" missions + campaign?

IL2 is anything but easy to fly around in.

I am getting PF tommorow, have IL-2 and its EXP packs, it is much harder to fly than most flight sims or arcadey types.
