Ok, i read many recruit threads about how they will make you a higher rank if you join. Now, how can they do that if you get BEPs and CEPs by actually doing something like fighting and commanding. They can SAY that you are a higher rank, but somewhere along the line there very well could be a case of you trying to command a lower personel that out ranks you through experiance, BEPs and CEPs (if he commands in the outfit). Just a though, there could be a way of automaticly ranking someone but i never read about it and the game would be messed up if you could.

Whoah, that was confusing.

Outfits can assign their members ranks, a level 1 could be a General if that's what the outfit wanted. CEPs raise Command-Rank on a scale of 5 stars. BEPs merely purchase Certs. Use (,) and (.) next time.

Ahh, the seeker of the flame.

The difference between CEP (Command experience) and BEP (Battle experience) is BEP is for certs. CEP is for who commands the most sucessfully. So yes, you could end up with a guy that outranks you in BEP levels, but not in CEP levels.

Think "We Were Solders." The old enlisted guy, he had a crap load of battle experience but he was never really trained or successfull in stratigy or tactics. The officers were.

But in PS the guy that out ranks you in Battle Experience may never have been a leader. But the dude can fight. And your higher Commander level means that you have successfully lead a squad or platoon into battle. So you know how to lead them.

Yeah, Your post was kind of confusing. Hope this one clears it up.

Headrattle I think you misunderstood the guy (not hard hehe).

Hes trying to say that Outfits are promising to make you high rank if you join their Outift. And hes asking do they mean CEP or BEP rank, character rank. Or do they mean rank within their Outfit. And therefore, could you get the case where a level 1 n00b with no CEP and no BEP is commanding (in the outfit) players who out rank him in CEP and BEP.

In answer, No. CEP and BEP are not related to Outfit rank.

So, in answer to the next point, Yes you could end up with the situation where characters out rank you in BEP and CEP but you are higher within the outfit than them.

That is something the Outfits internal policies will have to rectify.

i think that that outfit generals' can give the soldiers in their outfit an "outfit rank" that doesn't really do anything outside of your outfit

If that is the case. Then that is the outfit's problem. There are a lot of people out there who are egotistical morons with no idea about stratigy but demand to be in charge.
In other words, find a better outfit.

id love some info on what benefits having a higher CEP has since right now all it seems is for stature sake. i think the squad leaders CEP should influence how many people he can have in his squad that way outfits would have to focus on getting people with high CEP's also, just to add another element to the game.

CEPs give you command abilities. The more CEPs you have the more command abilities you have. It is not just status.

You could have expanded on the abilites ;D

There will be things such as commander maps and the ability to place "hot spots", indicating where you want your men to go.

yea just went through and listened to the entire interview again and i heard some of the abilities but id still like the amount of people able to be in a squad to be influenced by your CEP level. the continent wide shout will probably end up being abused at some point or other but sounds like absolute awesome idea
