Holy shit it was awesome. Both of the songs went really well.
We started off by playing Albatross by Fleetwood Mac. It went good, with only a few non-noticable slip ups on the guitar. Second song was My Immortal by Evanescense. That was our best song IMO. The singer was orginally going to do it with backing from the CD. We stepped in and offered to do backing with guitars. She accepted and we practiced about twice at lunchtime. Considering we practiced only twice, it went very very well. The applause from the last song was massive. God damn, my ego is so big right now. EDIT: Moskau quota filled. I know a guy who is in a Heavy Metal band who had a gig at this place called the gaslighter (club). I'm not that much of a heavy metal type but they played pretty good. He will be famous since he's only a freshman, he still got time.

Being on stage is the best feeling in the world, no matter where it is.
Last gig I played was years ago (hopefully that's soon to change), 400 people at my school. We played a 5 song set, opened with Number of the Beast. We did the proper intro and everything, opened the curtains with red lights and smoke. Got up the scream bit, did the most bloodcurdling evil scream imaginable, head thrown back and everything. When I looked again, I saw the chavs leaving in droves TB. |

Nothing compares to playing a gig, if everything goes well, it's the best feeling in the world.

At very least, a heavy-metal redux version with no dancing.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
