I stopped playing Ps a few months back because I didn't try to find an outfit and my college's internet would lag for a good amount of time. I left when the BFRs were on the test server but still had no experience with them in game. I came back a few days ago since I'd be home for a month and try to get into the game again. I see more BFRs then I thought there would be. I see people complaining on the Official Forums about how BFR tower campers this and flight units are overpowered. I agree that flight variants are overpowered: the ability to move away from danger so quickly in something so large. But Door camping BFRs is a different story. Another thing I have noticed is there are no flails. It wasn't hard for me to put 2 and 2 together. Everyone who used flails are now using BFRs to camp tower. The people who camp towers are the same people in flails and tanks camping towers. It's all the same people using the same "tactic" just with a new toy. If they didn't have BFRs, they would still be there.
I for one am considering getting cc to pilot BFRs. Why? I think the idea of a walking tank, I like Mechwarrior games. If that alone makes me a BFR killwhore in your mind, I don't care. BFR nerf or not, I think piloting one would be fun. But you won't find me in a flight variant.
