I just bought HL2 from eBay for a total of $31.50 after shipping. Considering that local stores are selling for it for $49.99+tax, I think I did well.

It's sealed in original box and has never been opened. Yay.

You should have just asked for the CD Key.

I prefer having discs. I've never been a fan of the whole "buy a CD key" and download it kinda thing. This way, if I ever forget the password or something happens and I can't download the game (if I needed to), I still have my discs.

Took yah long enough! Hehe, enjoy it, its a damn good game.

Edit- and I agree on the discs thing, I hate just having the game in download form. Bought my copy on release day in the form of the Collectors Edition, with everything packed onto one nice little DVD-ROM.

But then you couldnt use it because that CD Key is tied to steam which you have to use the play the game in the first place.

Dont you love Steam?

I do. I still think it's an improvement over WoN and the old Halflife menu system.

kinda the same thing as FFXI. if you don't play for 3 months they delete all your info and your cd key is invalid and you have to buy the game all over again.

I only sorta enjoyed the game, but I did like the whole Steam buying. I don't have to keep track of CDs, just remember my password to their games if I ever need to reinstall.

The funny thing is I never finished the HL1 campaign. I got to a part that was pretty much impossible and never finished it. I think I may have done a cheat code to let me see the ending cutscene, but it didn't make much sense. I hope HL2 offers a scene at the beginning to get me up to speed

you can get it here www.garry.tv/garrysmod

its the best mod out there for hl2 so far

It is, I do like Steam but it kind of negates the point of having a boxed copy.
