My computer has just gone to hell...

And I want it back...

For no apparent reason my AMD 64fx-51, with a 128mb All-in-Wonder Pro, and 2 gigs of ram crashed this morning.

I got on it and went and started up IE, well when the page uploaded it was scrolled all the way to the bottom, and everytime I try'd to move the page up it would fight it and reset to the bottom of the page. It did this at every website that I try'd.

Then I though maybe I just needed to reboot, so I restarted the computer and when it came up (before windows loaded up) and said, (something like this)

There was an err r* in C-Drive (I think, I'd have to check it again tomorrow)
Press Ctrl Alt Delete to restart your computer.

I continued to press ctrl alt delete and it restarted my computer with the same results.. I hope someone can tell me there is another solution besides wiping my hardrive

*It was spelled err r... with a space in it and no o.. Thats seemed weird.

PS: If I have to wipe the computer will I need to buy EVE again!?! I just remebered that I downloaded it instead of buying a CD

sounds to me like you have a problem with a file in your windows folder. I suggest you try to boot it in safe mode and see where it stops and crashes. Remember that file name and get back to me

on a side note, no you won't have to re-buy EVE, if you stlll have the key you should have no problems.

Well somehow my hardrive was completely deleted.. I'm not sure how, I just woke up and it was gone

I re-installed windows for like the 3rd time and so far everything is going smooth.. lol now I just need to install everything again, that'll take about two days

yow, that's no good. As long as It's going good. I do however recomend that you format your hard disk and re-re-re-re-re-install windows, just to be safe.
