Canada Votes

So tonight is election night, and they start counting votes in about 10 minutes. For those of you who don't know, there are four major parties in Canada:

Liberals (centre)
Conservatives (right)
NDP (Left)
Bloq Qu�bequois (quebec separatist party)

I'm expecting the conservatives to form a minority government with the NDP, this is also what I am hoping for. It may seem like an unlikely coupling, but hey, it's Canada.

Grrs! The conservatives make me sad and mad. Im just glad they didnt get a majority or else I would be mighty pissed. Oh well, Looks like We'll be voting again in August of '07 :rollseyes:

I hate Quebec - the rest of Canada should invade. When I drove in there and saw their own flag flying above the Canadian flag I was like WTF?

Why is it everyone has to poke fun at the Great White north, they are great allies to the USA and they do have a good country. No reason to be pricks about it

Awww...give them a break will ya. Its not like any state in the USA is often touted how it would be the sixth largest economy in the world if it was its own nation and people there occasionaly joke about how we would annex Las Vegas and Baja California because a lot of people from these states visit there, own businesses, vacation, etc. Nah..there's no state in the USA thats looks like a prime target for succession.

Why do people have such a strong dislike for us? What did we ever do wrong? And stop using the typical eh, mounties, and what ever else slander you use. Eh, I dont know who, or why, or what the fuck that means, barley anyone uses Eh... So syop associating us with eh. The mounties... the fbi... is there any real difference? not really, but atleast the mounties dont launch an investigation into some one that remarks against the countries leader. Also, the mounties are used as police, yes, but only in a few provinces. Its not the national standard. So, next time you feel the need to lash out at a quiet little nation of 30 million, please, elaborate and dont just say "Eh! lol u gys r funneh!" or, atleast understand our legal system before you start talking about the mounties in that respect. Also, navarone, If an american votes in america, do I give a shit? No, not really.
