Overpriced computers for the win.

Well... it will either do two things...

1. Improve the quality of DELL PC's...

2. Send alienware into a downward spiral of shittyness.

I just hope that alienware PC's will still be able to be upgraded without buying overpriced parts from DELL like they do with their PC's.

IMO Alienware has always been for shittier than even Dell.

Alienware really isn't anything special. They just take the very best on the market, put it into a flashy case, and charge you double what you would spend if you'd actually bought the components and built it yourself.

If you don't know how to screw a motherboard into a case and drop some parts into it, you're welcome to rape your wallet buying Alienware. There's lots of companies out there that can build a similar system minus several hundred bucks and an alien logo.

As for Dell, they don't overcharge so much as they force you into upgrading through them at their prices (examples, RD RAM installed into your computer, CPUs soldered into circuit board with custom sockets) And while they don't particularly overprice, they do have a habit of lagging behind the rest of the industry in bringing release prices down, thus when you want to upgrade to that new CPU (and you're forced to buy Dell's modified chip) you'll be paying prices that have long since dropped on newegg.com.
