Connection? What connection?

Hey, a newbie here.
I just downloaded the PS installer from "Reserve" program link site, installed it, and got ready to play. It did install rather quick though, maybe thats the prob.
But anyway, the problem is that i cant connect to any of the 3 servers. I get to the login screen, can enter my name and pass, can view my account options, can view the latest news (it doesent work tho), can see the "winboard", and can click the big LOGIN button after entering my name and pass. But thats about all i can do...
After clicking the login button, a message pops up saying "Processing login", stays there for a while and then changes to:
"Network error. The server is not responding, please check your connections and try again."
Now i know it could be something to do with my firewall, because i had some strange problems with connecting to different servers in other games, when i just installed a new firewall. But that was some time ago, and i havent had any problems like that untill now. So if there really is a port i should open to be able to play PS, can you please specify which exactly?
And if its something completely different, can you explain and/or help?
