Microsoft just bought Planetside

We know that this might come as a shock to many readers, so we warn you to please keep breathing and put your head between your legs if you start to lose consciousness.

GameSocket reported last evening (and we have confirmed many of the same details with our own sources) that on Monday morning the announcement will come that Microsoft has acquired the PC game PlanetSide.

As part of the deal, Microsoft will obtain the rights to publish Planetside, clearly one of the most anticipated titles for 2003. Our sources suggest that Planetside will likely be converted to an X-Box only title, but a final decision has yet to be made. There are currently few details on whether either Halo will still be coming to the PC following this major acquisition, but hopefully most questions will be answered in the press release to be issued this Monday morning.

I knew it was fake the moment I saw it...Sony would NEVER sell ANYTHING to Microsoft...comon seriously folks use some common sense...and besides if they DID sell it to microsoft why the hell would they "convert" it to an X-Box title this close to release..they just don't have a program that converts all the info into X-Box compatible data......please...

You mean stuff like XP(hardware compatability problems and you have to call up MS if you add/remove hardware) and Windows 95/98/ME(crash like nothing else)?

Heck, even win 2k(what I use) has its share of problems.
